Carolina Elizabeth

My name is Carolina Elizabeth.  I was born in Honduras and came to live in Oklahoma when I was eight years old. English is my second language and it was only because of very patient teachers that I learned to speak the language. They are the reason I chose to become a teacher.I graduated from Capitol Hill High School and at the same time, with a certificate in Commercial Art from Metro Tech. In 2006, I graduated from UCO with a Bachelors in Fine Art.

Throughout my life, I’ve created art and have had the fortune of being represented by several galleries, my working being included in national and international magazines and my paintings being part of private art collections throughout the world. Still, teaching is my passion, as I love to help others. So, I teach full time and paint on my time off. Throughout it all, I am cheered on by my wonderful parents, a very funny and intelligent husband and two amazing daughters.

In 2009, I began my teaching career with three years in Oklahoma City Public Schools teaching middle school art, followed by 6 years of teaching art and Spanish at Deer Creek. This year, I was honored with the opportunity to  join the Boulevard Academy team.
